Summary
- The Head of IT Infrastructure Management is responsible for overseeing the bank’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and efficiency of all technology systems.
- This role ensures the smooth operation of hardware, networks, servers, and cloud services while supporting the bank’s digital transformation goals and regulatory compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for managing the bank’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of IT systems to support business operations.
- Oversee data center operations, including backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Monitor and optimize IT system performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data protection regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement for IT infrastructure components.
- Lead a team of IT infrastructure specialists, ensuring skill development and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other IT units to support digital banking initiatives and business process automation.

- System uptime and reliability of IT infrastructure.
- Reduction in downtime and IT-related service disruptions.
- Compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies such as the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) is an advantage.
- Certifications in IT infrastructure management (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, ITIL, COBIT) are preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, network administration, or systems engineering, preferably in the financial sector.
Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, cloud computing, and IT security.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, and virtualization.
- Experience with IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and best practices.
Skills / Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
