Job Description:
The ICT tutor is responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive ICT lessons to students at the primary and secondary school levels. This role involves creating engaging learning experiences, integrating technology into various subjects, and fostering students’ digital literacy skills.
An effective ICT tutor in a primary and secondary school requires a blend of technical expertise, teaching skills, and the ability to adapt to the evolving landscape of technology in education.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Design and develop ICT curriculum, lesson plans, and educational materials suitable for different age groups.
- Classroom Instruction: Deliver engaging ICT lessons to primary and secondary school students, incorporating practical exercises and interactive learning methods.
- Technology Integration: Integrate technology into various subjects, demonstrating how ICT skills apply to real-world scenarios across the curriculum.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Assess students’ ICT proficiency, track progress, and provide constructive feedback to students and parents on performance.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to students and staff regarding ICT tools, software, and hardware usage within the school.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with technological advancements, attend training sessions, and participate in workshops to enhance teaching methodologies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers to integrate ICT into their teaching, supporting them in implementing technology-driven lessons.

Skills and Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Education, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience in teaching ICT to primary and secondary school students is beneficial.
- Proficiency in a wide range of ICT tools, software applications, and operating systems.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to students.
- Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans and learning materials.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for fostering digital literacy among students.
