Job Description
- Responsible for the smooth running of the entire IT infrastructure of the Bureau. The role also entails the supervision, implementation, and maintenance of the Bureau’s end-user computing needs.
- The successful candidate will have advanced skills, a proven professional experience, and a detailed knowledge of public service best practice processes.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Manage information technology and computer systems of the Bureau.
- Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
- Manage the training, coaching and performance of IT support staff.
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in good time.
- Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
Job Requirements
Basic requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a core ICT related discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, information and Communication Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering etc.).
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
- Expertise in data center management and data governance.
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
- Team management skills.
- Skills in PHP, .NET and database management.
Professional Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree and relevant professional experience and certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Age Bracket:18 - 50 years old.
Remuneration
- Remuneration is subject to prevailing salary structure for Kaduna State Civil Servants for Grade Level 12.
