Covenant University is a part of the Liberation Commission that God gave to the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Bishop David Oyedepo, (Ph.D.) some years ago. The appropriate forms of intent to establish a private university was submitted to the National Universities Commission (NUC) in March 2000 and by July 15th 2001, the verification team of the National Universities Commission came for the inspection of facilities and programmes. On 12th February 2002, the Federal Government officially presented the certificate, which granted Covenant University the license to operate as a private University in Nigeria. University is a growing, dynamic vision-birthed, vision driven University, founded on a Christian mission ethos and committed to pioneering excellence at the cutting edge of learning. We are driven by the compelling vision of raising a new generation of Leaders for the African Continent on the platform of a Holistic, Human Development and integrated learning curriculum, in order to raise Total Men who will go out to develop their world. Job Description

Applicants must possess a minimum of B.Sc/HND degree in Mass Communication, International Relations, Journalism or related field with an experience with live broadcasting. Applicant must possess at least a second class lower (2:2) in the mentioned disciplines and must possess a minimum of 3 years’ relevant post qualification experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating radio equipment and softwares
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and situations
  • Anchoring debates and presentations
  • Knowledge of current events and popular culture
  • Keeping across the news and cultural agenda, reading newspapers and websites, staying on top of what’s trending on social media.
  • Listening to other shows on the Hebron FM station so that he/she will be part of the station’s wider conversations.
  • Researching guests, music or other contents for a show.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Hebron FM Manager.

Applicants with first degrees MUST have completed the mandatory one-year National Youth Service. He or she must be God-fearing and have good communication skills. Those applying for the technologist position are required to possess appropriate skills and orientation for their respective disciplines, as well as possess teaching abilities with adequate research experience.
