Job Responsibilities include:

  • Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls to protect the organization’s network.
  • Implement firewall policies and rules to ensure secure access controls.
  • Building firewalls into network infrastructures
  • Carrying out Penetration test on IT infrastructure
  • Monitor security logs and alerts for signs of suspicious activity.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct security awareness training for employees.
  • Collaborate with IT, development, and other teams to ensure security is integrated into all processes and systems

Key skills

  • Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, software, and networks
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems
  • A forensic approach to challenges
  • A deep understanding of how hackers work and the ability to keep up with the fast pace of change in the criminal cyber-underworld
  • Ability to seek out vulnerabilities in IT infrastructures
  • Experience in managing a SIEM and EDR

Qualification

  • B.Sc./HND Computer science or related discipline
  • 5 - 6 years of proven experience as an Information Security Administrator.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
  • Relevant Certifications such as CISSP,ISO 27001 lead implementer etc. would be an advantage.
