About the job
- To execute solutions and infrastructure security strategy with reference to information security and IT risk management programme. To conduct vulnerability assessment and penetration testing on Interswitch network devices and servers, and provide support to colleagues. To support the implementation of required security measures and to report progress to Lead Infrastructure Security (IT Security Engineer), and provide support in reducing vulnerabilities.
Information Security Solutions and Infrastructure Support
- Support the rollout of solutions and infrastructure security strategy in line with risk regulations and control requirements.
- Assist in identifying and minimising the financial impact of operational incidents through business impact analyses.
- Implement required security measures such as password policies, database user profiles, and establish security control baselines for network devices and servers.
- Identify potential security threats to the business and ensure proper risk mitigation systems are in place.
- Administer and monitor security profiles and escalate concerns or provide feedback to the Lead.
Data Collection, Research, Analysis, and Reporting
- Conduct research using primary data sources and select relevant information to analyse key themes and trends.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on Interswitch network devices and servers.
- Prepare accurate reports by collecting data from various sources and formatting them into standard templates for submission to the Lead Infrastructure Security or relevant stakeholders.
- Gather, monitor, and analyse risk data using established models and protocols; recommend additional investigations where necessary.
- Develop weekly progress reports covering activities against timelines, key risk indicators, control performance, and process improvements, and submit them to the Lead Infrastructure Security.
Stakeholder Management and Customer Service
- Support stakeholder engagement activities, including meetings, events, and client interactions.
- Attend meetings with the Lead Infrastructure Security and relevant stakeholders to understand client needs and governance processes.
- Execute risk mitigation activities according to communicated stakeholder requirements.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and other parties in the operational risk ecosystem.
Functional Support
- Analyse business processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks and redundant tasks in IT and engineering functions.
- Support management operations in implementing various projects and third-party system integrations.
Education – General Requirements
- University First Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related fields.
Experience – General Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in information security or related roles, with the ability to work independently and unsupervised.
Hands-on experience in:
- Conducting security audits to identify vulnerabilities in network devices and servers.
- Implementing security controls for network devices, servers, and third-party system integrations (e.g., VPN).
- Ensuring secure installation and ongoing operation of IT infrastructure.
