We are seeking an experienced and passionate Linux engineer to join our company. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying and managing Linux servers for our clients. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical skills and leadership ability, with the communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other members of the IT team.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Relevant experience of 8+ years and above
  • Proficient in Linux Advanced concepts
  • Good in handling the Linux OS including installation, configuration and patching
  • Understanding of a variety of technical concepts such as Networking, Linux systems administration, and information security practices
  • Knowledge of information security industry and regulatory obligations.
  • Provisioning, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting various Unix flavours like GNU/Linux b. RedHat c. SusE d. Linux Enterprise server e. Ubuntu.
  • Deploy and managing web hosting technologies, including Apache/Nginx, MySQL, and PHP.
  • Experience in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and containerization (e.g., Docker).
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Certifications in Linux (e.g., LPIC, RHCE) are a plus.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with a variety of other enabling teams.
  • Self-motivated and operates with a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity.
  • Ability to automate technical tasks using shell scripting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
