About the Role
- We are seeking a highly motivated Intern Laravel Backend Developer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in backend development, working with Laravel and modern backend technologies.
- You will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- This internship follows a hybrid work model, requiring three onsite workdays per week and two remote workdays for flexibility and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Laravel and PHP.
- Optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and financial service providers.
- Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and product teams to create seamless user experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines for deployment efficiency.
- Manage databases using MySQL, PostgreSQL, and optimize query performance.
- Stay updated with the latest Laravel advancements and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in backend development with Laravel and PHP.
- Strong proficiency in RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
- Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL, database optimization, and query performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Redis, and AWS.
- Familiarity with queue systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS).
- Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and best coding practices.
- Experience integrating payment gateways and financial APIs.
- Knowledge of OAuth, JWT authentication, and security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and WebSockets.
