Responsibilities
- Maintaining the IT environment.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software [including] peripherals.
- Monitoring network performance and security to identify and troubleshoot any problems.
- Performing regular backups of data and ensuring data recovery procedures are in place.
- Upgrading existing systems and implementing new technologies as needed.
- Responding to user inquiries and requests regarding technical issues.
- Providing technical support to employees, such as troubleshooting software and hardware problems.
- Creating user accounts and managing access rights.
- Implementing and maintaining security protocols to safeguard the organization's IT infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Monitoring system activity for suspicious behavior.
Requirements and skills
- BSc or HND in computer science, Information Technology, or any relevant discipline
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience
- A strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network hardware (routers, switches) is necessary.
- Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security protocols to protect against cyberattacks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
