Job Description

  • The IT Advisor - Data Management is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide valuable insights and support informed decision-making for the systems deployed for the Fourth Party Logistics (4PL) service provider contract for the Malaria Component of the Global Fund Grant Cycle 7 (GC7).
  • This position requires a strong technical expertise, and experience manipulating and reporting large data sets. The IT Advisor - Data Management shall report directly to the Senior Manager MIS/ERP/IT.

Specific Responsibilities
Data Management:

  • Support the Senior Manager MIS/ERP/IT in data management and integration across systems within the project network to improve data visibility whilst ensuring seamless integration and interoperability with other already existing software/IT/MIS solutions.
  • Collect, clean, and pre-process data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Perform thorough data analysis using statistical techniques and data visualization tools.
  • Interpret data, identify trends, and extract actionable insights to drive business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Ensure data integrity and security in compliance with project policies and regulations.
  • Develop and generate regular reports for management, providing insights into key performance indicators and trends.

Data Tools/User Support:

  • Develop Data tools to support operations across the project
  • Provide training to end-users, ensuring effective use of information systems.
  • Provide technical support to the Project Team on the warehousing and distribution operations data and reporting.
  • Address and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.

Evaluation Method:

  • Annual performance appraisals
  • Quarterly documented feedback and mentoring discussions
  • Quarterly score card of work plan tasks and achievements § Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field. A master degree in related field is a plus.
  • 3 years for BSc Degree graduate, and 1 year for MSc Degree in relevant role.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skill
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI.
  • Flexible working hours
  • The ideal person should be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of multilateral agency guidelines.
  • Excellent ability to function in a detail-oriented environment.
  • Experience working with donor funded programs is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English language skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Language:
