Role Overview:
- To provide technical support and administration for business-critical applications, ensuring smooth operation and quick resolution of issues. The IT Application Support Administrator will manage day-to-day operations, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain system performance and deliver a high-quality user experience.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide first-line support for business applications, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving application-related issues.
- Manage user access, permissions, and roles for various applications, ensuring security and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with software vendors to resolve escalated issues and ensure timely patching and updates.
- Monitor application performance and system health, identifying potential issues and optimizing for reliability.
- Assist in software deployment, upgrades, and configurations across business systems.
- Maintain up-to-date application documentation, including user guides, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Provide training and support to end users on effective use of business applications.
- Ensure that applications are compliant with organizational standards, including security and data protection policies.
- Collaborate with internal IT and business teams to ensure alignment between business needs and application capabilities.
- Assist in application-related projects, including system integrations, migrations, and enhancements.
What You Need for This Role:
- 2+ years of experience in application support or system administration.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level business applications such as Jira Software/Confluence, Microsoft 365, Azure, PABX and similar.
- Basic knowledge of scripting.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management tools.
- Experience in liaising with third-party vendors for support and issue resolution. Skills, knowledge, and abilities:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for application troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving IT issues.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new systems and tools
