Job Summary

  • The IT Infrastructure Manager is charged with managing the business-wide enterprise infrastructure systems and technology stack; translate and implement systems requirements; provide technical and knowledge support to users, support teams; manage successful delivery of assigned projects; resolve and manage all user, system, functional, security incidents and requests; maintain systems and network connectivity. The IT Infrastructure Manager will deliver all round customer experience and performance; Provide technical expertise in the deployment and use of cloud technologies and security.

Key Accountabilities

IT Operations

  • Monitor and ensure networks and firewall meet optimal operating and security compliance standards
  • Maintains site reliability for Cloud Productivity Tools and platforms including Office365, Azure and AWS
  • Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity measures are effective by executing routine tests and system recovery exercise.
  • Support all infrastructure hardware, computer, network, security and storage resources utilized across all business functions.
  • Plan and manage implementations, migrations, system software maintenance and upgrade for critical information systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all L2 and L3 incidents associated with server hardware, network connectivity, remote access, and cloud interfaces.
  • Take ownership and resolve all L2 and L3 incidents for business productivity tools and user incidents.
  • Ensure change requests and implementations of approved changes are properly executed in line with company policy and procedure.
  • Reviews appropriateness of technologies used for system components and recommends modifications and/or upgrades when necessary to keep systems operating according to defined service level agreements and operating level agreements.
  • Supports all project initiatives and ensures requirement and system resources are adequately sized and aligned with solution requirements.
  • Provide knowledge and team support to other members of IT Support Team.
  • Ensures performance metrics for availability, reliability, performance and security of FC computing assets and infrastructure operations are achieved.

IT Security and Risk Management

  • Promptly report and manage identified risks and treats in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Implement applicable policy and security controls for mitigating risks for IT assets on premise or in the cloud.
  • Ensure backups are properly taken, tested and retained for all systems.
  • Plan schedule maintenance activities including introduction of updates and patches to meet service requirement.

Strategic Operations

  • Assesses and recommends computing resources and technology for infrastructure operations and performance objective.
  • Executes short plus long-term strategic plans to assure infrastructure capacity attains current and future needs.
  • Assesses and recommends effort to achieve secure, scalable, fault tolerant systems and services with future flexibility and maintainability capabilities.
  • Develops Plans to evolve infrastructure components and services aligned with overall enterprise architecture.

Project and Management

  • Manage interface and communication between internal customers and service providers.
  • Ensure project activities are executed and aligned with project objectives and value risk. Reports.

Reports

  • Providing recommendations and reports on system performance, capacity, utilization, backups, disaster recovery, upgrades and incident management.
  • Provide IT Security Report to show trends, treat analysis and effectiveness of controls.

Requirements

  • First Degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering, or other numerate science. Possession of an MBA is an added advantage
  • 8+ years in a core IT role of which at least 3 must have been in senior supervisory role.
  • Possession of a post graduate degree is an added advantage
  • Possession of Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification from a recognized professional organization in Information Security.
  • Experience in IT Infrastructure Network, application and server set-up and management.
  • Good People Management skills
  • Certification in Microsoft Cloud technology, CISCO, Project Management or any other Experience in IT governance, risk management, and operational risk Management
