Key Responsibilities
- Establish accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems software where applicable
- Providing network administration and support. Liaising with the IT specialist in the maintenance of servers and access points
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of company IT systems and infrastructure.
- Manage the IT team, providing guidance, support, and training to junior staff.
- Ensure the security of the company's data, network, and systems by implementing appropriate security measures.
- Monitor and maintain the performance of all IT systems, ensuring high levels of efficiency and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide IT support and advice to other departments as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and privacy regulations.
- Ensure that users within the business can work effectively and efficiently by providing the right support in terms of Internet service and IT work tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in IT management or a similar role.
- Extensive working knowledge of networking, hardware, software, and IT security practices.
- Proficient in managing servers, databases, and cloud-based systems.
- Experience with IT project management and systems integration.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in IT management or network security (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, CompTIA Security+).
- Experience with ERP systems and software development.
- Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
