Main Responsibilities

  • Executes an information technology strategy.
  • Manages, coaches, trains, inspires, and disciplines staff.
  • Researches and implements technological strategic solutions.
  • Accountable for accomplishing IT staff results, including uptime and technology adoption.
  • Plans, monitors, and reports work and project results
  • Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains a safe and secure work environment.
  • Develop personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
  • Preferably has Project Management experience and/or certification – Completes projects by coordinating budgets, resources, and timetables with internal and external business partners.
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Preserves assets by implementing cyber security, disaster recovery and backup procedures, and information security and control structures.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, and identifies problems.
  • Has great knowledge of emerging technological trends, evaluates trends and delivers reports and training to organization.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a computer field from top-rated University
  • Minimum five (5) years of strategic IT work experience
  • Optional product or system certification
  • Project Management Certification
  • Oil & Gas experience is an advantage.
