INTERSOS is an independent, no-profit organization which, through its own humanitarian operators, intervenes to effectively answer the needs of people in serious crises situations, mainly in the world's poorest regions, who are suffering, deprived of rights, dignity and essentials goods. JOB PURPOSE
Execute maintenance, follow-up, and monitoring of all IT equipment, tools, and services, as well as ensure onsite technical support and training of users under his responsibility by INTERSOS standards, policies, protocols, and procedures, to guarantee the efficient use of all IT, services, and infrastructure.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor, maintain, and follow up on all Information Technology (IT) and equipment, tools, and services by INTERSOS standards, policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Provide educational support (briefing, training, and support, etc.) to all users.
- Provide regular activity reports for the sites under his responsibility by INTERSOS guidelines. Update and archive all user and ICT (Information and Communications Technology) )-related documentation.
- Provide Basic IT Help desk support including but to limited to Password Reset, Resolving basic email issues, Granting internet access to new staff and devices, Carrying out routine checks on IT devices and equipment (Laptop computers, Printers, etc.), Resolving and troubleshooting issues with software application packages (Microsoft Office, Adobe, Chrome etc.)
- Ensuring that all Mission assets are registered in IMP and documented, issued with unique INTERSOS asset numbers, tagged, and logged according to asset management policies and procedures. Carrying out quality checks upon reception of IT goods and consumables
- Responsible for the Mission processing of Repair of Assets, Assets verification, Assets donor reporting
- Provide his technical expertise in the local purchase process.
- Support the country IT officer Carrying out visits to Field locations to report, troubleshoot, and attend to IT needs in field locations when required.
- Track mission-safe room inventories and ensure they are always properly well-arranged and clean.
- Perform any other task, specific to his area of specialty, according to the line manager.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Essential University degree training. Certifications in the domain would be an asset.
- Preferably 1-2 years of proven experience in IT or technical functions
- Preferably technical English
- Expertise in the latest version of the Microsoft Operating System and business applications (Office365)
- Good knowledge of computer hardware and maintenance processes, network theory and their respective protocols, main email systems, IT security best practices, and IT service management tools (ITSM)
- Understanding of Server Management (latest version of Microsoft Operating System, Active Directory) and virtualization (Hyper-V)
- Experience in Assets Management
- Understanding of radio telecommunication concepts (HF, VHF, GSM, Satellite)
