Responsibilities:

  • Managing day-to-day IT operations, including monitoring systems, networks, the core banking system, and other applications.
  • Ensure the timely resolution of technical incidents and minimize service disruptions.
  • Coordinate IT maintenance schedules, system upgrades, and patch management.
  • Provide guidance and support to IT staff, ensuring efficient task allocation and workload management.
  • Assist in training and mentoring the IT operations team to enhance technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Act as an escalation point for IT incidents and coordinate with the team to resolve complex issues.
  • Identify potential risks in IT operations and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to banking regulations, cyber security protocols, and IT governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the IT security team to monitor and address vulnerabilities in the system.
  • Support the Head, Information Technology, in managing vendor relationships and ensuring SLAs are met.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand IT needs and provide appropriate support.
  • Assist in monitoring IT system performance and preparing reports for senior management.
  • Maintain documentation of IT assets, configurations, and operational processes.
  • Implement IT projects, including upgrades, system integrations, and new technology implementations.
  • Ensure alignment of IT projects with business objectives and timelines.
