Responsibilities

  • Work within a shift team and take the lead in the resolution of controls-related issues and improvements
  • Working knowledge of Machine Safety Regulations and Safe Working Practices
  • Fundamental understanding of IT systems like IP Networking, Server Architecture, SQL Databases
  • Preparing specifications, system layout, and component selection for PLC and DCS systems
  • Development of instrumentation and control systems, bills of material, and capital cost estimates
  • Maintaining instrument lists and I/O lists for procurement packages including pressure, temperature, flow, level, weigh, analyzer and control valves
  • Provide direction for the inspection and acceptance testing of field devices, and control systems is an asset
  • Work with internal processes consistent with corporate standards and policies, and also a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Issue reports, drawings, and other documents as directed/required
  • Programming of HMIs and PLC/DCS Systems

Qualifications

  • Accredited four (4) year Degree or global equivalent in the Engineering field of study and 0 to 6 years of work-related experience (new graduate - BE/ Btech Instrumentation/ Electronics)
  • BSc of Science or higher in Engineering or other related field and a minimum of 10 years of thermal design, analysis, or testing of aerospace systems
  • Minimum of 2 years Knowledge of Functional Safety Theory with specific on-the-job experience and knowledge of industry standards for functional safety implementation of complex electronic control systems
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation and Controls or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of PLC/DCS experience
