Role Summary:

The IT Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management, support, and optimization of CrownCity’s IT infrastructure and systems. This role ensures high system availability, data integrity, cybersecurity compliance, and responsive end-user support across all departments.

This is a hands-on role requiring both technical execution and operational discipline, with accountability for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and technology risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all on-site IT infrastructure including servers, networking equipment, access points, workstations, printers, CCTV systems, and POS terminals.
  • Ensure continuous availability and optimal performance of internet connectivity, internal networks (LAN/WAN), and Wi-Fi coverage across guest and staff areas.
  • Conduct routine system health checks, updates, backups, and performance monitoring.
  • Support and maintain core business systems including:
    • Property Management Systems (PMS)
    • Point-of-Sale (POS) systems
    • Accounting and finance software
    • HR and payroll systems
  • Manage system access controls, user permissions, and account provisioning in alignment with internal policies.
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices, including antivirus management, firewall controls, password policies, and access restrictions.
  • Monitor for security threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities; respond promptly to incidents.
  • Ensure regular data backups and disaster recovery readiness to minimize operational risk.
  • Provide timely technical support to staff across all departments, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Train staff on proper use of systems, tools, and basic IT best practices.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and usage documentation.
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors, software providers, and service partners for installations, upgrades, and specialized support.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and support service delivery against agreed SLAs.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation including network diagrams, system configurations, licenses, and SOPs.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, automation, and cost control.
  • Support technology initiatives aligned with business growth, guest experience, and operational scalability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure management.
  • Strong working knowledge of networking fundamentals, Windows environments, hardware troubleshooting, and common business applications.
  • Experience supporting POS systems, PMS platforms, or hospitality IT environments is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and data protection practices.
