NIGACHEM NIGERIA LIMITED was incorporated in 1987 as a private company with Certificate of Incorporation No. 97718. The Company Memorandum and Articles of Association and subsequent licences permit the Company to engage in Importation, marketing and sales of Commercial or Civil Explosives and related products like Ammonium Nitrate, Detonating Cord, Electric Detonators, Non-Electric Detonators (Nonel), etc. Later in March 2008, Nigachem Nigeria Ltd. had JV Partnership arrangement with Solar Industries India Limited which translated to the establishment of a cartridged emulsion manufacturing factory with an extension for Bulk explosives. The factory was launched/test-run on 30th April 2011 and commenced production on 5th August 2011 and was officially commissioned by the Honourable Minister of Mines & Steel Development, Arc. Musa M. Sada fnia, fnmgs on 19th April, 2013.
Job Function
- Manage the company website and email.
- Supervise installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware, software and network.
- Ensure system uptime, performance and reliability.
- Troubleshot and resolved IT issues.
- Monitor servers, database and cloud system.
- Manage backups, updates, patches and system upgrades.
- Ensure proper handling of IT tickets and service requests.
- Ensure data protection, access control and user permission.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Act as a point of contact between IT and other departments.
- Ensure fast resolution of staff IT complaints and provide adequate user training on the system and tools.
- Monitor cybersecurity risks and incidents.
- Provide network security to ensure minimal downtime.
- System Maintenance: Monitor network infrastructure and server performance. Act as an escalation point for and solving complex technical issues.
- Manage relationship with with technology vendors and service providers. Ensure that all systems, including security and backup, are fully operational.
- Assist in IT budget development, monitoring expenditures and managing inventory or assets.
- Analyse existing computer systems and making recommendation for upgrades and improvements.
- Develop manuals as well as policies, procedures and safety protocols.
Requirements
- B.Sc in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar qualification with 5-10 years of similar work experience.
- Strong IT knowledge (Networks, systems, basic cybersecurity)
- Problem-solving and decision-making.
- Time management and the ability to multitask.
- Recognise IT certification.
- Software installation and configuration. Practical experience installing and maintaining systems is an added advantage.
- Ability to manage website and email management ( Outlook, Gmail, etc)
- User control and password management.
- Basic networking concepts ( LAN, WAN, IP Addressing).
- Strong written and verbal communication.
