Our client is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable IT Staff member to join their hotel team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, managing IT infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of technology systems within the hotel.
This role requires a proactive and customer-focused individual with strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for technology.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support and assistance to hotel staff and guests, resolving IT-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including computers, servers, network devices, and peripherals.
Monitor and manage the hotel's IT infrastructure, including network connectivity, security systems, and data backups.
Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure the reliability and security of IT systems, including antivirus software and firewalls.
Troubleshoot network problems and connectivity issues, working closely with vendors and service providers to resolve issues as needed.
Train hotel staff on the use of technology systems and software applications, providing guidance and support as needed.
Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage user accounts and access permissions, ensuring appropriate levels of security and data protection.
Evaluate new technologies and software solutions to enhance efficiency and improve guest experiences.
Stay updated on emerging trends and developments in IT and hospitality technology, recommending innovations and improvements to enhance operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in IT support, system administration, or network management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, and networking technologies.
Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and providing effective solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with staff and guests at all levels.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of IT security best practices and data privacy regulations.
Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and other hospitality-specific software applications is.
