Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal running of internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Setting up new devices and gadgets
- Installing and updating softwares
- Setting up email accounts for new staff
- Provide preventive and corrective maintenance
- Liaising with internet provider (IPNX) to resolve any internet related issues
- Keep computer systems running smoothly and ensure users get the maximum benefit from them
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
- monitor and maintain computer systems and network
- Talk staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Replace parts as required
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Repair faults and replace fittings as required
- Support the roll-out of new applications
- Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
- Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
- Ensure tasks are completed
- Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
- Test and evaluate new technology
- Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
- Rapidly establish a good working relationship with staff and visiting consultants
Requirements
- B.Sc / HND in Computer Science or Engineering
- 2-4 years experience in IT support
- Proficient in operating systems and Troubleshooting.
