University Press PLC (UPPLC) was founded in 1949 under the name of Oxford University Press Nigeria, and has grown to become one of the oldest, most experienced and the Nation’s Foremost Publishers of materials for educational and for general reading. At incorporation as a public liability company in 1978,the Company’s name was changed to University Press Limited with anauthorisedshare capital of 8,000,000 Ordinary shares of 50k each. Job Description
- Install and configure systems
- Ensure clients system works with company server
- Install applications/programs that will cause more effectiveness
- Administer the computer on the local area network
- Maintain the effectiveness of all computers in use
- Maintain a back-up of company’s data
- Train users on all the packages in use
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned
Qualification & Required Skills
- A relevant first degree (B.Sc. / HND) in Computer Science / Computer Engineering with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division / Lower Credit.
- At least two (2) years post qualification experience in a similar position
- Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Not more than 35 years of age.
