Role Description

  • This is a full-time, on-site role for an IT Support Officer at Cirvee Academy in Ibadan.
  • In this role, you will ensure the smooth running of all technical systems, devices, software, and digital tools used across the academy. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT infrastructure, supporting staff and tutors, and ensuring that all classrooms, labs, and office systems run efficiently.
  • You will also work closely with senior leadership to maintain a secure, reliable IT environment, manage digital assets, and implement improvements that support the academy’s daily operations and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for staff, tutors, and students
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues
  • Set up and maintain laptops, desktops, routers, projectors, and classroom devices
  • Install, configure, and update software, tools, and operating systems
  • Manage IT inventory, licenses, and digital equipment
  • Ensure smooth running of LMS platforms, attendance systems, and training tools
  • Monitor network performance and resolve internet or WiFi disruptions
  • Support media and content teams with technical setups when necessary
  • Implement data backup, security, and access control measures
  • Document incidents, repairs, and IT processes
  • Ensure IT systems and infrastructure operate reliably during classes and events
  • Support management in implementing technical improvements and automation

Qualifications

  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Officer or similar role
  • Good understanding of computer systems, networks, and mobile devices
  • Experience with Windows, macOS, and basic server or cloud tools
  • Familiarity with routers, printers, projectors, and network equipment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation habits
  • OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, N+, CCNA, etc.) are a plus
