Position Overview
We are seeking a Lead Editor with a Master’s or PhD-level qualification to oversee the editorial process and uphold the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, and consistency. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the editorial team to ensure timely and high-quality content delivery.
- Oversee the editorial process for manuscripts, including academic, research, and general publications.
- Ensure all content meets house style, grammatical accuracy, and factual correctness.
- Provide detailed editorial feedback and developmental guidance to authors and editors.
- Collaborate with design, marketing, and production teams to align content with publishing goals.
- Maintain and improve editorial standards, workflows, and documentation.
- Conduct final review and approval of materials before publication.
- Mentor junior editors and support professional development within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in English, Publishing, Communications, or a relevant field.
- 5+ years of editorial experience, preferably in a leadership role.
- Exceptional command of English grammar, syntax, and style.
- Proven experience with academic or scholarly publishing is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Keen attention to detail with a passion for precision and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and editing software (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word with track changes, LaTeX, etc.).
