We are looking for an IT Manager who will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our client’s computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines.
You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of the hospital’s computing needs. The successful candidate will have improved skills, proven professional experience, and a detailed knowledge of the hospital’s best practice processes.
Responsibilities
Proactively partner with the functional areas to identify needs and appropriate information technology solutions.
Ensure the acquisition, retention, and continuing development of key talent.
Handle annual budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to the hospital’s policy.
Ensure the security of data, network access, and backup systems.
Monitor staff performance, and instill excellence in employee development to attain the highest level of productivity for long-range success.
Provide day-to-day supervision, conduct performance reviews, and delegate work assignments to the development teams.
Identify problematic areas, and implement strategic solutions in time.
Plan, control, organize, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance
Build project plans, engage resources, drive implementation projects to completion, meet well-defined requirements, manage scope, and keep project schedules and budgets.
Align technology solutions with overall IT strategy and architecture.
Prioritize projects consistent with the hospital’s unit goals and objectives
Requirements
A BSc in Computer Science with equivalent work experience is required.
3 - 6 years work experience.
Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience.
Considerable knowledge of management of information systems, technology processes, concepts and practices, data governance, technology evolution, and project methodology.
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
Develop annual budgets and programs, including ‘partner training’ and awareness.
Skilled in assessing the effectiveness of internal controls over key IT risks, identifying significant exposures, and analyzing transactions and other management information.
Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
Professional and positive relationship management and teamwork competencies.
