Job Overview:

  • As a Lead Senior Healthcare Technology UX/UI Product Designer at eMedic Technologies Inc, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and interface design of our healthcare platform.
  • Your expertise will contribute to creating a user-friendly, efficient, and visually appealing digital environment that enhances the accessibility and usability of healthcare products and services for our customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead the design and development of user-centered interfaces for healthcare-related digital products and services while understanding user personas, including patients, pharmacists, and doctors, to design tailored experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather user requirements, conduct user research, and define design objectives, conducting user research and usability testing to iterate on design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize and communicate design concepts, producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and refine design solutions, continuously gathering feedback and iterating for a better user experience.
  • Ensure consistency in design elements and maintain a cohesive visual identity across the platform, adhering to style standards on typography and graphic design.
  • Optimize user flows and information architecture to enhance the overall user experience, developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in healthcare UX/UI design, staying updated with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
  • Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure the successful implementation of design solutions, collaborating with developers to ensure design vision is realized in the final product.
  • Incorporate accessibility and compliance standards to ensure an inclusive user experience, adhering to style standards on fonts, colors, and images.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence, mentoring junior designers, promoting design thinking and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align design strategies with business objectives, presenting user experience flow and project decisions to all levels of leadership; and negotiating product feature trade-offs and impact on the product development lifecycle with Engineering and Product Management.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform's design processes and methodologies, seeking opportunities for design improvements and conceptualizing innovative solutions.
  • Participate in design critiques and peer reviews to maintain high design quality, translating user feedback into design solutions.
  • Communicate design decisions effectively and justify design choices to stakeholders, advocating for users and championing the importance of design in product development.
  • Manage design projects and timelines to meet project milestones, prioritizing and managing multiple projects, adhering to strict timelines.
  • Create and maintain a design system to streamline design consistency and efficiency, developing and maintaining a design system for scalability.
  • Conduct user interface audits and recommend improvements based on industry benchmarks, working cross-functionally to incorporate feedback and deliver revisions promptly.
  • Lead efforts to gather user feedback and insights for ongoing design enhancements, presenting and defending design decisions to teams and key stakeholders.
  • Work with front-end developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs, ensuring the platform's responsiveness and optimized experience across devices.
  • Analyze user metrics and feedback to iterate and improve the user experience continually, advocating for users, championing the importance of design in product development.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Life or Medical Sciences, Information Technology or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing healthcare-related projects.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility and compliance standards in healthcare design.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and gather actionable insights.
  • Experience with responsive and mobile design to ensure cross-platform compatibility.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and the ability to adapt design workflows accordingly.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and regulations is a plus.
