Job Description/Responsibilities
- We are looking for an experienced and creative Media Host/Corporate Communications Lead (Male or Female) to serve as host, presenter and Influencer for all of Afrihood’s media programs such as product demonstrations, events coverage, documentaries and media programs.
- The candidate would be the face of Afrihood in every public appearance – events or meetings, whether live or recorded.
- He/she will also be in charge of developing and implementing communications plans for Afrihood.
- He/she must be good training facilitators as they would be in charge of organizing training for Afrihood’s companies, and enhancing staff’s communication skills as well as providing feedback and guidance.
- He/she will keep media programs running to schedule, responding positively and quickly to problems or changes and improvising where necessary.
- He/she will develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns and strategies and monitor their success.
- He/she will create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
- He/she will leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
- He/she will be responsible for pitching Afrihood’s products and services to stakeholders.
- He/she must stay abreast of current real estate trends and remain knowledgeable about real estate markets and best practices.
Qualifications/Requirements and Skills
- Interested candidates should possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant course.
- Candidates should have at least 5 years relevant work experience as a Communications Strategist, Broadcast Journalist, or Public Relations Manager.
- Candidates must be technology savvy with sound judgement to drive communications initiatives with excellent skills in networking and relationship building.
- Candidates must be able to propel Afrihood's image through consistent messaging and strategy as well as develop internal and external communications and marketing strategies.
- Candidates must be good looking but rugged as they would be outdoor most of the times.
- Candidates must be highly resourceful, creative and able to curate stories around global affairs and trends that our target audience can identify with.
- Candidates must be able to swiftly navigate between being corporate-smart and being streetsmart.
- Candidates should have the ability to work independently combined with excellent interpersonal skills
- Candidates must possess strong communication, sales and marketing skills
- Candidates should have excellent business acumen, exemplary work ethic and integrity
- Candidates should possess exceptional oratory and creative research skills
