Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA Resources Centre) is a non-governmental organisation and non-partisan human rights and development league. The Centre conducts research, policy advocacy, training, as well as citizens’ awareness and mobilization on core human development issues, including agriculture, food security, climate change, human rights, public sector accountability and electoral reform processes.
Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented MEAL Officer to strengthen the organisation's Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning systems.
- The role focuses on tracking programme performance, ensuring data quality, and supporting evidence-based decision-making to ensure projects deliver measurable impact and meet donor standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Design data collection tools, indicators, and reporting templates.
- Track project performance and conduct baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
- Analyse programme data and prepare performance reports.
- Ensure data quality, documentation, and timely donor reporting.
- Facilitate learning sessions and manage feedback and accountability systems.
- Support staff capacity building on MEAL tools and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage).
- Must have 3-5 years' experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within an NGO or development organisation. Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies and tools.
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
- Close attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
