Job Description:
- Santabella Music Empire is seeking a dynamic and innovative Distribution Specialist to join our team and contribute to the continued growth of our company and artist roster.
- The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in cultivating relationships with clients and partners while ensuring the smooth and efficient distribution of our music releases across various digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
Administrative:
- Provide metadata for both old and current releases, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Facilitate the arrangement and approval of artwork proofs, ensuring sample stock availability pre-release, and maintaining an organized archive of all artwork assets.
- Build and manage relationships with Digital Service Providers (DSPs), serving as the operations contact and facilitating playlist pitches.
- Create and maintain a standard release Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
- Monitor live status, pricing, charting, and track linking of products on DSP storefronts using third-party tools.
- Research and explore new distribution channels beneficial to the company.
Collaborative:
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and initiate strategies for each release.
- Work with the A&R and marketing teams to establish clear deadlines for the delivery of all release-related components.
- Leverage digital marketing tools and establish commercial partnerships with key markets in collaboration with the Marketing and Partnerships team.
Audience Building & Playlisting:
- Drive overall growth of audience-driven KPIs and implement best practice strategies across international markets.
- Identify development opportunities and create plans to drive growth for all artists across various music stores.
- Curate and manage playlists across platforms, recommend social strategies for playlist engagement and market share growth.
- Implement and curate label-owned playlists, collaborating with content teams on copywriting and leveraging consumer insights to inform playlisting decisions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in music distribution.
- Certification or experience in project management is advantageous.
- Knowledgeable about current and future trends in music, music business, and pop culture.
- Exceptional communicator with credibility and influence.
- Highly organized, reliable, and deadline-driven with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proven track record working on music releases and understanding the importance of confidential information.
- Experience working for a label or label services/distribution company is preferred.
