Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Responding promptly to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
- Setting up accounts for new users
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
- Testing new technology
- Possibly training users
- Monitor network security and performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
- Resolve problems reported by end users.
Requirements and Skills
- OND in Computer Science or any related field (Minimum)
- 1-2 years work experience.
- Proven experience in a network and system administrator role
- Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching (Cisco Switches)
- Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
- Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired (Sophos Firewall)
- Ability to set up and configure server hardware.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
- Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking.
