Job Summary
The Network Engineer specializes in designing, implementing and integrating IP networks and devices.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and integration process from project inception through Rough-in, Trim, and finish phases, ensuring that all activities align with project requirements and industry standards.
Provide technical guidance to the System Installers, overseeing the installation, configuration, and integration of network devices and systems.
Collaborate with the system designers to address on-site technical challenges and recommend resolutions, ensuring that red line drawings accurately reflect on-site conditions.
Ensure compliance with installation standards throughout the integration process, maintaining a high standard of quality and performance.
Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to verify that installed systems meet performance and quality requirements.
Act as the primary on-site contact for the implementation and integration process, liaising with project managers and clients to address technical concerns and ensure project success.
Engage in thorough testing and post-installation validation to ensure they meet the Quality of Experience and guidelines.
Provide detailed system documentation and user manuals in line with recommendations for clear and comprehensive client handover.
Offer training to clients, emphasizing ease of use and system maintenance, consistent with best practices.
Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and installation standards to enhance the quality of system integration.
Regular attendance of industry workshops, seminars, and training courses to stay current with evolving technologies and integration techniques.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
Extensive experience in IP networking, including a track record of successful, large-scale projects.
Strong understanding of installation standards, with a commitment to upholding these standards throughout the integration process.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing technical teams and providing guidance.
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with professional development requirements: Commitment to continuous learning, with a focus on obtaining or maintaining relevant certifications.
Desirable Skills
Expertise in IP networking with a strong foundation in electronics and telecommunication.
Proficiency in creating detailed system schematics and room layouts.
