Job Summary:
- As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing SIFAX Group’s network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Reporting to the Project Manager, Information Technology, you will handle network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and security enhancements to support business operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure across multiple locations.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to minimize downtime.
- Implement network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and encryption.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and cyber Security best practices.
- Provide technical support for network-related issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Maintain and update network documentation, including topology diagrams and configurations.
- Implement network automation and optimization techniques to improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend upgrades to enhance network performance.
- Conduct regular network audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary improvements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Network uptime and reliability.
- Speed and efficiency in troubleshooting and resolving network issues.
- Security compliance with industry standards.
- Successful implementation of network upgrades and optimizations.
- Reduction in network downtime and connectivity disruptions.
General Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in network engineering, administration, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and network security protocols.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Experience with cloud networking and virtualized environments is a plus.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
