ROLE SUMMARY
- The post holder will be responsible for administering and maintaining end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Manage and maintain the company network. Manage servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment and ensure network is in working order.
- Run security tests, system back-up and recovery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade the company’s Linux and Windows servers.
- Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
- Keep an eye out for needed updates.
- Support and administer third-party applications.
- Ensure network security and connectivity.
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Resolve problems reported by end-user.
- Define network policies and procedures.
- Specify system requirements and design solutions.
- Research and make recommendations on server system administration.
REQUIREMENT
- BSc degree in Computer Science or related field
- Two to five years’ experience in Network Administration Professional Certifications:
- Linux Certification
- Azure Web Service certification
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) CISCO
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- Knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols
- Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware.
- Ability to problem solve and think critically.
