About the Role:
- We seek an experienced and innovative Senior PHP Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining robust, scalable applications that drive our mission to empower the legal industry through cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and enhance new features.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code following industry best practices.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards.
- Design and optimize database schemas for performance and scalability, focusing on MySQL.
- Manage data storage solutions and ensure seamless data flow across systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs with front-end and third-party services.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate them into development processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development using PHP.
- Proficient in PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
- Solid experience with database technologies, particularly MySQL, including query optimization and schema design.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cloud services and deployment tools like AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Proven track record of delivering at least two production-ready solutions, each serving a minimum of 5,000 active users.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams of 5 or more developers, successfully building and launching high-quality solutions.
- Extensive expertise in architectural design, with a history of creating scalable, efficient, and robust system architectures.
- Documented success in mentoring and guiding junior developers, fostering their professional growth, and enhancing their technical skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues.
- Proven commitment to writing high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Certifications in PHP, Laravel, or related technologies are a plus.
- A portfolio of projects or contributions to open-source platforms is highly desirable.
