Sapphire Virtual Networks Limited is a Nigerian Technology company engaged in the provision of innovative services to the different players in the mobile market: OEMs, Insurance Companies, Financial Institutions (Lenders), Retailers and Distributors.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

  • We are seeking a skilled PHP/Laravel Developer with a strong background in developing and integrating eCommerce and core business applications. The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining scalable solutions that drive business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Design, develop, and maintain Magento-based eCommerce platforms and Laravel applications.
  • Implement and customise business application integrations (ERP, CRM, payment gateways, APIs, etc.).
  • Optimise performance, scalability, and security of existing and new applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UI/UX, Business Analysts, etc.) to deliver quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core product functionality to ensure strong optimisation and usability.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code following industry best practices.
  • Participate in project planning, sprint reviews, and technical discussions.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 4 years’ professional experience in PHP and Laravel frameworks.
  • Proven expertise in eCommerce platforms, core business applications, and systems integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL databases, RESTful APIs, and third-party integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (Vue/React is a plus).
  • Familiarity with server environments (Linux, Apache/Nginx) and deployment processes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

NICE TO HIRE

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Docker/Proxmox environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
