Job Purpose

Maintain and support both hardware and software, manage and support LAN and WAN, support network users, server operating systems, messaging system, maintain data backup, security and server administration, control and monitor telecommunication devices, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain adequate records of all LAN and WAN configuration parameters such as IP addresses, firewall configuration, switches, bridges, modems and routers settings and cabling connectivity. Maintain LAN and VSAT connection to ensure uninterrupted access to needed resources.
  • Monitor server and network performance and anticipate required changes/upgrades to optimize performance to ensure availability of servers and network to support operational needs of the company.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and identify network problems as they relate to desktop or laptop computers. Troubleshoot and repair workstations, printers and other computer peripherals.
  • Assist users and administer user accounts in the domain controller, ensuring security of stored information, giving access shared and security permissions to relevant users, joining workstations to the network, configure IP settings and manage of user mailboxes in the exchange server.
  • Manage, monitor and control telecommunication devices such as telephone land lines, gsm lines, resident phones and internet subscription to ensure that they are not out of credit or service.
  • Troubleshoot laptops, desktop workstations, phone issues, web connectivity, messaging problems, DNS, WINS and DHCP issues, terminal services printing issues, remote desktop emulation issues and other Timberline problems.
  • Provide data security and control, change data cartridges on daily, weekly and monthly basis to facilitate effective backup and restore operation, while strictly adhering to the group policy on safety and disaster recovery procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Electronics Engineering or other sales related fields.
  • 7-10 years’ experience.
  • Certifications: Cisco certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Microsoft certified Professional (MCP)
  • MCTTP, Microsoft 365, Windows Server 2019 and MS SQL
