Purpose of Position:

The Podcast Host at LBS Management Hub will play a pivotal role in delivering captivating and insightful content to our diverse audience of professionals, business enthusiasts, and management scholars. As the voice behind the microphone, the host spearheads the creation of thought-provoking episodes that delve into the latest trends and cutting-edge insights shaping the business landscape in Africa. From meticulously researching industry developments to skillfully crafting compelling narratives, the host ensures each episode offers valuable takeaways and sparks meaningful conversations. Our ideal candidate is not just a skilled communicator but a seasoned storyteller with a passion for exploring the nexus of knowledge and practical application.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/KEY JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include but are not limited to the following:

  • Research and curate topics that offer unique insights and perspectives on current trends, innovations, and challenges in the business landscape in Africa.
  • Write compelling scripts and deliver content in a clear, articulate manner that resonates with the target audience and maintains their attention.
  • Conduct interviews with thought leaders, scholars, and industry experts to extract valuable insights and stimulate meaningful discussions.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure high-quality recordings, smooth editing, and timely release of episodes.
  • Actively engage with listeners through social media, email newsletters, and community forums to foster a sense of connection and dialogue around the podcast content.
  • Stay informed about emerging research, trends, and developments in academia and business to keep the content fresh, relevant, and impactful.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly and engagingly, both verbally and in writing, to captivate and retain audience interest.
  • Skill in crafting compelling questions.
  • Capability to conduct thorough research on diverse topics related to business trends, management strategies, and industry insights in Africa, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of questions.
  • Aptitude for conducting insightful interviews with guests.
  • Capacity to adapt to evolving content needs, respond adeptly to unexpected developments, and remain adaptable in a dynamic podcasting environment.
  • Ability to interact effectively with listeners, foster community engagement through social media and other platforms, and respond thoughtfully to audience feedback and inquiries.
  • Familiarity with podcast recording.
  • Capacity to infuse creativity and innovation into podcast content to differentiate and enhance the listening experience.
  • Genuine interest and enthusiasm for exploring and promoting business developments, challenges, and opportunities across Africa, driving meaningful conversations and insights on the podcast.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good first degree from a reputable tertiary institution.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
