PR & Events Executive is responsible for developing and executing both public relations strategies to manage a company's public image and event planning to promote brand awareness, often including coordinating press coverage, managing media relations, and organizing corporate events to engage target audiences.
Responsibilities
Public Relations Strategy:
- Crafting and implementing comprehensive PR plans to maintain a positive brand reputation.
- Writing press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials
- Managing media inquiries, scheduling interviews with journalists, and building relationships with key media contacts
- Monitoring media coverage and analyzing its impact on brand perception
- Developing crisis communication strategies to address negative publicity
Event Planning and Execution:
- Conceptualizing, planning, and managing corporate events like conferences, product launches, trade shows, and customer appreciation events
- Budgeting and managing event logistics including venue selection, catering, speaker coordination, and registration
- Developing event marketing materials and promoting events through various channels
- Overseeing event execution on-site, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues.
Social Media Management:
- Developing and managing social media strategies to align with PR objectives
- Creating engaging content for social media platforms to increase brand visibility
Reporting and Analysis:
- Tracking key PR metrics like media impressions, social media engagement, and event attendance
- Preparing reports on PR campaign performance and identifying areas for improvement
Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of media relations and public relations principles
- Knowledge in event planning and execution
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools
Requirements
- B.Sc/HND in Mass Communication, Journalism or Public Relations
- 3-5 years Relevant Working Experience
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Netinsight,Omniture,Webtrends )
