As a Public Relations & Communication Strategist you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that manage both internal and external opinions and perceptions. This role will involve crafting impactful messages through strategic communication, overseeing public relations initiatives, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and robust crisis management, this role supports the company’s growth objectives and contributes to building a strong, resilient brand.
Job Details
- Brand Positioning & Reputation: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to strengthen Vendease's brand positioning and reputation in the food-tech sector.
- Communication Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with Vendease's business objectives and brand identity.
Digital Marketing:
- Lead digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media campaigns, to drive brand awareness and user engagement.
- Content Creation: Oversee the creation of compelling and relevant content across various channels, including blog posts, articles, videos, and social media, to effectively convey our brand message and engage our audience.
- Public Relations:Build and nurture relationships with media outlets, influencers, and industry leaders. Proactively seek opportunities for media coverage and coordinate press releases and media appearances.
- Media Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, interview requests, and crisis communications. Manage media partnerships and placements.
- Internal Communication: Ensure consistent and effective internal communication practices, keeping employees informed and engaged in the company’s mission and initiatives.
- Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans and act as a spokesperson when necessary, maintaining a calm and professional demeanour in high-pressure situations.
- Brand Management: Ensure the consistency and integrity of our brand across all coordination channels, both internally and externally.
- Brand Assets: Oversee the creation of high-quality digital and non-digital assets, including videos, infographics, press releases, whitepapers, and presentations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of communication professionals, fostering their growth and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field (essential).
- A minimum of 5 years experience in communications strategy development (essential).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
- Content writing experience for all media platforms.
- Proven social media and networking expertise.
