Job Overview

  • The Presales Specialist plays a crucial role in the sales process by collaborating with the sales team and clients to understand their needs, propose tailored solutions and support the sales effort through technical expertise and product knowledge. The role requires a blend of technical skills, communication abilities and business acumen to effectively engage with customers and drive successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements, challenges and objectives.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations and demonstrations to showcase product features and benefits.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical expertise and insights to help them make informed decisions.

Solution Development

  • Analyze client needs and propose customized solutions that address their business requirements and objectives.
  • Work closely with the product development team to understand product capabilities, features and roadmap.
  • Develop and present solution proposals, including technical specifications, pricing and implementation plans.

Technical Support

  • Provide pre-sales technical support to sales representatives and clients,including product demonstrations, technical documentation and solution architecture design.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and technical questions throughout the sales process, ensuring a clear understanding of product capabilities and value proposition.

Sales Enablement

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, presentations, and case studies that highlight product benefits and use cases.
  • Conduct training sessions for sales teams on product features, competitive positioning, and sales strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to effectively position products and differentiate from competitors.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their evolving needs and providing ongoing support and guidance.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, facilitating communication and ensuring smooth handover of projects from presales to the implementation phase.

Requirements and Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience of not less than 8 years in presales or technical sales roles within the IT industry.
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, software applications, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client needs, identify opportunities, and develop tailored solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Certification in relevant technologies or products (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, AWS,Oracle, Fortinet etc) is a plus.
