We make and supply over 1.3 billion gloves annually to medical professionals, as well as specialists in the food, automotive, janitorial and care sectors. Uni-medical Healthcare is seeking for a Product/Brand Manager. The role will involve driving sales strategies, supporting brand growth, and establishing market leadership in terms of both volume and value in Nigeria. As the Product/Brand Manager, you are primarily responsible for developing growth strategies and annual business plans for assigned brand in collaboration with Principal Partners and Uni-medical Healthcare Management and Marketing Team.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Brand/Product Management:
- Responsible for the creation of a strategic growth roadmap for assigned brand and products, ensuring market leadership from both a volume and value perspective.
- Develop a comprehensive portfolio to cater to different customer segments.
- Develop assigned brands’ Growth Strategy, Annual Business Plans in joint consultation with Principal Partners and Uni-medical Healthcare Management & Marketing Team.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Prospect and develop business opportunities for assigned product/brand to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.
- Conduct market and competitive landscape studies to segment the market into addressable markets and estimate their size in terms of revenue, profits, and growth rate.
- Develop detailed marketing plans to encourage brand engagement among Consumer Health customers, HCPs using various programs, campaigns, and platforms.
- Develop product strategies tailored to customer needs and adjust strategies as required.
- Ensure that sales teams and end customers are well-trained on product benefits and have access to essential sales tools.
- Work with the marketing team to create original content, customer testimonials, increase product visibility among target audiences, develop Product Positioning, Price Positioning, Sales Targets, and Profit Contributions
- Organize customer seminars and workshops to exhibit product capabilities and enhance customer knowledge.
- Participate in or organize seminars and CMEs for concerned professional associations, research groups, hospitals, and diagnostic facilities.
Partner Management and Collaboration:
- Manage relationship with principal partners of assigned brand including developing and implementing annual business plans in line with corporate strategy, goals, and objectives, and collaborate with principal partners to perform periodic business performance reviews.
- Collaborate with partners and internal stakeholders such as supply chain and technical services to ensure the availability of quality products and that customer expectations are met.
Reporting:
- Responsible for accurate forecasting, quarterly revenue delivery, and the implementation of account and business plans
- Monitor market potentials, track sales, and provide regular status reports.
- Deliver market reports to Uni- Medical Healthcare management regarding customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and new product potentials.
- Work closely with Marketing Manager to conduct market research and audience segmentation.
- Keep updated with relevant product, industry, and sector knowledge by engaging with market players and analyzing market trends.
- Brainstorm effective loyalty programs, promotional initiatives, and accompanying marketing collateral with marketing team.
- Plan, design, and oversee the implementation of an overarching brand loyalty strategy to increase customer engagement, boost retention, and maximize sales.
- Perform in-depth target audience research and execute data-driven customer segmentation to ensure loyalty programs are customized according to each audience segment.
- Study campaign reports, forecasting metrics, and industry trends to measure the impact and efficiency of the loyalty program.
- Manage the established budget for promotional initiatives and lead the financial planning and reporting for each project.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer engagement matters for the assigned brand.
- Build and maintain customer relationships through participation in industry events and engagement with executive decision-makers.
- Create and maintain customer account mapping, identifying stakeholders and decision-makers.
Business Development
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and variances to drive business planning and growth.
- Lead, drive and project manage customer experience activities within existing clients with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Identify in conjunction internal stakeholders, agreed continuous improvement strategies to increase the efficiency/productivity and profitability of sales activities and achievement of KPIs.
- Implement a performance management process to track performance and drive accountability.
- Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
Who you are as our ideal candidate:
- You hold a Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Life Sciences, Biological sciences, or a related discipline. A Postgraduate Degree and Business Management qualification would be an added advantage.
- You have at least 4 - 7 years’ experience in the IVD industry with at least 2 years’ experience in product management and/or account management & sales within the region.
