Job Summary
- Responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing designs that enhance the user experience. The Product Designer works on various aspects of design, including user interface (UI) design, user experience (UX) design, and interaction design, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
Job Details
Design Development & User-Centered Design:
- Create user-friendly and visually appealing interface designs.
- Develop wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to communicate design concepts.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with product goals.
- Conduct user research to gather insights on user needs, preferences, and behaviours.
- Conduct user research to gain insights into user behaviours, needs, and pain points. Use findings to inform design decisions and product improvements.
- Develop user personas, journey maps, and interaction models.
- Develop visual assets, including icons, illustrations, and graphics, that align with brand guidelines and enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of our products.
- Design and conduct usability tests to validate design decisions and iterate based on feedback.
- Create design documentation, style guides, and design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across products and features.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of design systems and guidelines.
- Ensure all design outputs adhere to brand guidelines and industry best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies to continuously improve design processes.
Prototyping and Testing:
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate design concepts and interactions.
- Conduct usability testing sessions and gather qualitative and quantitative feedback to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement. Use insights to refine designs and enhance user satisfaction.
- Iterate on designs based on testing results and user feedback.
Collaboration:
- Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and incorporate feedback.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements and user needs into innovative design solutions. Iterate on designs based on feedback and testing results.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams throughout the design process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or a related field.
- Relevant postgraduate/master’s degree, certifications in design is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product design or UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing design projects.
- Proven experience in user-centered design processes and methodologies.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, InVision, and similar.
- Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies. Ability to empathize with users and advocate for their needs throughout the design process.
