We are seeking a talented and proactive Program Assistant to join our team. This role requires a creative individual who can support our programs by developing compelling content for social media, writing grants and proposals, conducting field visits, and managing multimedia content creation. The ideal candidate will be efficient, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a positive impact.
Responsibilities
Content Creation and Social Media Management:
- Create engaging and visually appealing content for social media platforms.
- Use tools like Canva to design graphics and promotional materials.
- Monitor and manage social media accounts, ensuring consistent engagement with the audience.
Grant Writing and Proposal Development:
- Research and identify funding opportunities relevant to the foundation\'s mission.
- Draft, edit, and submit grant proposals and funding applications.
- Collaborate with the team to compile necessary documentation and reports for donors.
Program Support and Field Work:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing program activities.
- Conduct field visits to monitor projects, gather insights, and collect stories, photos, and data for reporting.
Multimedia Content Creation:
- Take high-quality photos and videos during field visits and events.
- Edit and produce professional videos and visual content to showcase the foundation’s activities and impact.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate records of program activities and progress.
- Prepare meeting notes, reports, and other program-related documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Development Studies, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in grant writing, program coordination, social media management, or similar roles.
- Proven experience in writing successful grants and proposals.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools like Canva and basic photo/video editing software.
- Strong skills in photography and videography, including the ability to efficiently produce high-quality content.
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to conduct field visits and work in diverse environments.
- Passion for social impact and alignment with the foundation’s mission.
