Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Assurance Engineer.
- The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for analysing software requirements, performing test execution, setting up test environments, ensuring quality assurance, conducting manual or automatic testing, creating and executing test cases, conducting software testing and tracking and reporting results.
- The role will involve working closely with the development team to identify and resolve any issues or bugs, review software documentation, and conduct quality audits.
- All of these activities help to ensure that the software product or system meets its objectives.
Qualifications
- Possess a blend of technical and soft skills, as well as the right qualifications and experience.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field is necessary, or an equivalent level of work experience of over 4 years.
- An understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), software testing life cycle (STLC), and software quality assurance (SQA) principles is essential.
- Proficiency in using various testing tools, frameworks, and languages such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Postman, SoapUI, Python, Java or C#
- Knowledge of various testing types, techniques and approaches (functional, usability, integration regression, performance and security testing) is required.
- Familiarity with various software platforms, operating systems, databases, web servers and browsers (Windows, Linux SQL Server Apache Chrome or Firefox) is also beneficial.
- Ability to analyze complex problems using logical reasoning and critical thinking.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is key for finding and fixing defects or bugs.
- Excellent communication skills are also necessary for collaboration with other team members.
- Customer-oriented mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
