- We are seeking a Research and Comms Associate who will play a crucial role in conducting research, managing social media channels, and supporting various projects within our firm.
- The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting in-depth research, analyzing data and managing our social media presence to engage and grow our online community.
- The selected candidate will work closely with our project team.
- Preference will be given to candidates in Nigeria with a strong background in research, data analysis, social media management, content creation, and strategy development.
A typical week in the life of the Research Associate entails the following:
- Conducting thorough research on various topics, industries, and market trends
- Creating detailed reports, market assessments, and policy documents with in-depth research insights and analysis
- Managing and updating social media channels to engage our audience and grow our online presence
- Developing and executing social media strategies aligned with the firm's goals and objectives
- Creating and curating high-quality content, including posts, articles, and visuals, for social media platforms
- Monitoring social media performance and providing recommendations for optimization
- Collaborating with the project team to integrate research findings into project proposals, presentations, and other project-related materials
- Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and grants with a focus on research-driven content
- Ensuring compliance with research and social media best practices and standards
- Identifying opportunities for thought leadership articles and contributing to content creation
Skills required:
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis techniques (quantitative and qualitative)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- MS Excel and Google Spreadsheets (Budget prep/forecasting for projects)
- MS Powerpoint/ Google Slide (visually appealing modern slides)
- MS Word/Google Doc (Report formatting, alignment, referencing and all the works)
- Project Management (Asana, Trelo or MS Excel - Tools are just a means to an end. Just be really good at it with any tool of choice)
- Expertise in social media platforms and content management
- Domain expertise in Employability, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship ecosystem
- Proposal Development and grant writing
Ideal Experience:
- 2 - 4 years of experience in research, social media management, or related field
- Experience in content creation and strategy development
- Background in employability, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem is advantageous
- Experience in international development or strategy development is a plus
