Job Role

  • We are seeking a Route Development Specialist to optimize distribution channels and expand market reach in Port Harcourt (Woji). 
  • This role involves converting new distribution, maintaining good relationships with existing distributors, identifying new sales routes, improving delivery efficiency, and driving revenue growth for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize distribution routes to maximize sales coverage.
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales and logistics teams to improve delivery efficiency.
  • Analyze route performance and recommend improvements.
  • Develop a clear onboarding process for distributors and capture relevant KYC information.
  • Meet set targets of onboarding distributors weekly while ensuring each person carries at least 500 bags of water weekly.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors.
  • Develop strategies to promote and increase sales of packaged water products.
  • Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities.
  • Develop and implement local marketing strategies that will increase leads and eventually lead to conversions.
  • Track sales performance and provided regular reports to the Business Manager.
  • Log in daily orders into the ERP system and follow up with the dispatch team to ensure timely product issuance and delivery.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve inquiries.

Requirements

  • Minimum of HND in Marketing, Business, or related fields.
  • 2-3 years experience on the job or in a related field.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
  • Familiarity with local markets and distribution channels.
  • Proximity to Woji or environs is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Port Harcourt’s market and logistics landscape.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and optimize routes for efficiency and give reports.
  • Candidate must be tech savvy
  • Ability to work independently
