COMPANY OVERVIEW At SIMS Nigeria Limited, we specialize in the distribution and sales of electronic products from major brands such as SAMSUNG, ROYAL, PARSUN and POWERMATIC. Our business started out in 1987 and since then we have succeeded in carving a niche for ourselves in the home appliances market in Nigeria. We operate a number of branches that cut across most of Nigeria’s geopolitical zones; in major cities such as Lagos, Port Harcourt, Onitsha, Enugu, Kano and Abuja. Our longstanding reputation has earned us a status as Nigeria’s lead player in the electronics industry and as a result, we decided to go further by partnering with SAMSUNG to establish a local manufacturing line for its air conditioners and refrigerators in 2004. This, coupled with our state-of-the-art service centre that caters to consumers who buy our products, ensures that our customers enjoy the best quality of service from us and the best performance possible from their electronics.

About the Role

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Sales Analyst to support our sales team by providing actionable insights, forecasting trends, and improving overall sales performance.
  • The ideal candidate is skilled in data interpretation, reporting, and translating numbers into meaningful recommendations that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales data and trends to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management.
  • Track performance against targets and identify gaps or opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate sales activities, customer behavior, and product performance.
  • Support the sales team with insights on pricing, promotions, and market conditions.
  • Maintain and improve dashboards, forecasting models, and data tracking systems.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field with 3 year experience.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with large data sets and meet tight deadlines.
