Roles & Responsibilities
- Automation Framework Development: Design and implement robust automation frameworks for functional and regression testing.
- Test Script Development: Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using [specific tools/technologies, e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG].
- Test Planning: Collaborate with QA leads and developers to define test strategies, create test plans, and establish testing timelines.
- Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing and analysis to ensure applications meet performance requirements.
- Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD): Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure timely feedback on software quality.
- Defect Tracking: Identify, report, and track defects in bug tracking tools; work closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolutions.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers and team members in automation best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed documentation of test cases, scripts, and results.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Strong understanding of automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
- Experience with testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and quality assurance best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Attributes):
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with API testing and test automation.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
