eHealth Africa is focused on improving healthcare by creating effective ways to implement reliable health information management systems. We have developed eHealth and mHealth solutions that can be rapidly deployed to manage patient information, streamline clinical procedures, and provide data and analysis on health program outcomes. Accurate health data will provide NGO’s, hospitals, and donor agencies with access to timely health system indicators needed to evaluate their health interventions and respond to critical public health needs. What you’ll do

The Senior Coordinator, Impact Measurement, will support the achievement of the evaluation and measurement plans across various programs and initiatives within the organization. The role is central to ensuring data-driven decision-making, improving program quality, and fostering accountability to stakeholders through precise and actionable insights into program impact.

  • Coordinate the development of evaluation methods
  • Work closely with the team members to prioritize evaluations, ensuring that high-impact programs and interventions are assessed effectively.
  • Collaborate with program teams to establish long-term goals for measuring the success of interventions and to define the desired outcomes and impacts at the organizational level.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks: Design theories of change, logical frameworks, and results-based frameworks that outline the causal pathways of programs, defining how activities lead to outcomes and impacts.
  • Lead the planning and execution of multiple concurrent evaluations across different projects or programs, ensuring consistency in methodology and reporting.
  • Manage and guide internal evaluation teams, consultants, and field staff to ensure evaluations are conducted efficiently, meet deadlines, and adhere to quality standards.
  • Work to create systems that allow for real-time monitoring of data and program outcomes, enabling teams to respond quickly to performance issues.
  • Innovate data collection methods: Introduce new evaluation techniques (e.g., outcome mapping, participatory evaluation) and digital tools that improve data accuracy, timeliness, and relevance.
  • Oversee data analysis processes: Lead the analysis of complex data sets, ensuring that findings are accurate, actionable, and communicated to stakeholders.
  • Interpret results for strategic use: Translate evaluation results into actionable insights that inform future program designs, strategic plans, and funding proposals.
  • Generate high-level reports: Oversee the creation of detailed impact reports for internal leadership, donors, and external partners, ensuring that findings are presented in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Drive program improvement: Ensure that impact evaluation findings are used to refine and improve programs, guiding the organization in making data-informed adjustments to strategy and operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with program teams, partners, and stakeholders to align impact measurement efforts and maintain open communication. Ensure that all stakeholders are well informed about the progress and success of projects.
  • Maintain Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure M&E activities are in line with organizational and donor requirements. Maintain high-quality standards for all evaluation and reporting efforts.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Program Evaluation, Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field. A master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in impact measurement, monitoring and evaluation, or a similar role.
  • Experience working in international development or social impact organizations is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Power BI, R, Tableau).
  • Experience designing and implementing M&E frameworks, developing tools for data collection, and writing evaluation reports.
  • Strong understanding of both quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Experience in leading M&E projects from concept to completion.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
  • Certifications: Certification in M&E or project management (such as PMP, MEAL DPro, or other relevant qualifications) is an added advantage.
