Job Summary

  • The Senior Manager - IT Technical Sales will be responsible for leading the technical sales team, driving the sales of our IT solutions and services, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • This role demands a combination of strong technical expertise and exceptional sales acumen to engage with clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • The Senior Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic sales plans, achieve sales targets, and expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the IT technical sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet business objectives and sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for sales process improvements and implement best practices.

Client Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and objectives.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the value of our company’s solutions.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and our company.

Technical Expertise:

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the sales process, addressing client inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to align solutions with market demand and client requirements.

Market Expansion:

  • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate and expand market share.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform sales strategies and product development.
  • Represent our company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our brand and solutions.

Team Development:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing technical sales team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in IT technical sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets as an individual and as a team.
  • Technical knowledge in software and web development, including proficiency in languages and technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js, Laravel, PHP would be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes) and DevOps practices would be an added advantage.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and ability to integrate Agile frameworks into the sales and project delivery process.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
